We were deeply saddened to learn of the death just before Christmas of our colleague, Professor Richard Roberts, Professor of Contemporary History in the Department of Political Economy, King’s College London. Professor Roberts was a distinguished financial historian and a long-time supporter and associate of H&P. Among his contributions were a H&P paper, and the delivery of a key Home Office seminar on historic government cuts. It is above all his constant goodwill and collegiality that will be greatly missed by H&P’s academic committee and staff. Our thoughts and sympathy are with his family.
