The current HMT series traces the history of the National Debt from the eighteenth century down to the post-war period.
History & Policy continues its work with the Home Office to deliver policy-relevant seminars. H&P historians present their research to provide long-term perspectives on current policies and debates of interest to the Home Office.
This series explored some of the "great budgets" of the past, their political context (often more fraught or contingent than the reputation of the budgets might suggest), and their longer term consequences and resonances.
