The Lloyd George papers at the Parliamentary Archives: a treasure trove for understanding the 20th century and beyond
A panel session involving historians who have used those papers of David Lloyd George which are kept at the Parliamentary Archives.

The political papers of David Lloyd George (1863-1945) were acquired by Max Beaverbrook in 1951 and eventually became part of the Beaverbrook Library collections which were housed in Fleet Street. When the library closed in 1975 the collections, including the Lloyd George papers, were transferred to the House of Lords Record Office (later the Parliamentary Archives) where they continue to be an important source for the study of 20th century British political history. All three speakers on the panel have consulted the Lloyd George papers for biographies and other studies.
