Hear an analysis of the recently gathered gender pay reports from large companies by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, as we discuss why, with Equal Pay Laws and House of Commons Resolutions in place, there is still a gender pay gap in Britain.
Political disengagement, a lack of respect for governing institutions, and a gulf between elite and popular understandings of key political issues - are these uniquely modern issues? Often our assumptions about greater political engagement and awareness in the past are inaccurate or unfounded. Professor Adrian Bingham and Dr Tom Dowling will present research drawing on unpublished material from the Conservative Party and Labour Party archives, historical polling data, social science surveys, and life writing, in this session suitable for politicians, party activists, pollsters, campaign groups and journalists.
