This afternoon event will comprise of two panels focussed on connecting historians and historical research with policy makers at different levels of governance in the UK. Speakers will reflect on their roles working with and for UK Parliament and Scottish Parliament, and their experiences as researchers engaging with policy makers and processes from within and beyond the higher education sector. The event will conclude with a roundtable discussion to draw out key considerations, challenges, approaches, and opportunities for early career historians interested in policy engagement and impact.
