2 October 2026

On Tuesday 6 October, we will be launching a new seminar series in partnership with the School of Advanced Study’s Refugee Law Initiative exploring the policies of some of the UK’s major parties towards immigration and asylum policy. Panels combining politicians, academics and legal professionals will trace the development of those policies and their consequences. The first session will consider Labour Party policy with the help of a panel including Baroness Shami Chakrabarti and Enver Solomon, Chair of NACRO and former CEO of the Refugee Council. The seminars will be held at SAS’s Institute of Advanced Legal Studies and registration is free. Further details about the series and registration details can be found here.
