Registration is still open for the Holocaust Memorial Day 2026 lecture on Monday 26 January, jointly hosted by Birkbeck, University of London, and the Institute of Historical Research. The lecture will be given by David Feldman, Professor of History at Birkbeck, University of London, and Director of Birkbeck’s Institute for the Study of Antisemitism. Professor Feldman’s title is ‘Mourning, memory and politics: memorialization of the Holocaust in Britain from the 1940s to the present day’. The lecture, which takes place at 6.30 pm at Birkbeck, promises important insights into the development of popular memory of the Holocaust in the UK from one of the leading historical commentators on the subject.
